Sudhir Choudhrie is a philanthropist, businessperson and car collector. He and his family live in London, but he was born in New Delhi, India. He received a degree in finance and started working in the real estate industry under the watchful eye of his grandfather. Many successful businesses were soon to follow. Though being a busy man, he makes time for his hobby of restoring and collecting vintage cars.
Many cars in Choudhrie’s collection were manufactured in France and Italy. Sudhir Choudhrie has several French manufactures, including Cottereau, Darracq and Hispano-Suiza, represented in his collection. A 1927 Hispano-Suiza H6B is one of Choudhrie’s prized cars within his collection. In 1919, the Paris Motor Show was the first place that revealed this beautiful car. It is its revolutionary design that serious car collectors admire most about this car and more
Choudhrie’s collection also contains one of the world’s oldest cars, which is a 1903 Cottereau Voiturine. India was not importing too many cars until this car was made. Maharajah of Patiala was the car’s original owner. One of the favorite French cars in Choudhrie’s collection is his Darracq Type V. Italian cars are simply small and fast. The Fiat is the most iconic Italian car, and Sudhir Choudhrie has a 1930 Fiat 514 in his collection. His Fiat is yellow with a blacktop.
Though Choudhrie lives in London, his collection of cars is in India. Right now, the cars are not available for viewing by the public. However, Choudhrie has plans to change that. He plans to build a convention center that will contain a museum for his car collection.
